Join Friends of Gwynns Falls Leakin Park for our 2026 Annual Meeting — Sunday, June 28, at the Carrie Murray Nature Center.

Come out and meet the people behind the work and get a first look at what's coming next. Learn about foraging, tour the Carrie Murray Nature Center and meet their animals. We'll have food and drinks.

Highlights

State of the Park

FOGFLP Executive Director Pickett Slater Harrington will share the wins worth celebrating, the work still ahead, and what historic new state and city investment — including funding for a Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park Master Plan — actually means for the trails, programs, and people who use this park every day.


Foraging

Guest speaker, Candise Jordan will show us that some of the most nutritious food is growing wild at our feet.

*All are welcome to attend, but voting will be open only to donors who have made a contribution in the last 12 months. We’d be thrilled if you made a donation either online now - or in person at the event.

  • Guest speaker Candise Jordan, Farm Forage Feast, speaking on the connection between foraging, nature and health
  • Food and fellowship
  • Opportunities for attendees to share stories and memories of the park

  • A possible tour of Carrie Murray Nature Center and its animal ambassadors
